Amy will talk about HR implications of the legalization and medical usage of marijuana today in the workplace.
 
Speaker Bios:

 

ChristineChristine DeAngelis, CPA and CFO of Cultivate Consulting has been a licensed CPA in New Hampshire since 2010 using her skills to help small businesses grow and achieve their fullest potential.  With a Master’s degree in accounting, in addition to years of experience both in public accounting as well as serving as the CFO for large private organizations, Christine has the knowledge base to provide comprehensive accounting and consulting services to Cultivate’s clients. In response to her own struggle with chronic migraines Christine researched the endocannabinoid system and learned how phyto cannabinoids in the cannabis plant could treat a myriad of health conditions with a high level of efficacy.  Cultivate is the accumulation of Christine’s love for the cannabis plant, holistic health, and her passion for serving small business owners by facilitating their growth and prosperity.

  

KellyKelly Beaudoin is a Commercial Insurance Broker at HUB International New England, L.L.C, and is a highly-regarded strategic insurance planner and risk assessor for businesses and organizations. She is instrumental in helping businesses reduce their total cost and significantly improve their insurance programs. She focuses on what a client has and then works with them on their insurance needs.   Kelly has excelled in the commercial insurance industry for over 17 years working with small to middle sized businesses across many industries.  She is licensed Property and Casualty Agent for Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.   Growing up in a family-owned business, Kelly saw the dedication and hard work needed to overcome challenges and capitalize on resources to make businesses succeed. She applies the many lessons learned to her insurance career. She works diligently to tailor an insurance program to her clients.   Kelly lived in Maine, in Germany and now resides in Southern New Hampshire.  She participates in many networking and community events.  Prior to insurance, she was involved with two non-profit organizations: the Maine Development Foundation and Maine Coalition for Excellence in Education

 

Amy CaanAmy Cann, SHRM-SCP, SMS. My career has spanned over 20 years in the Human Resources and Safety fields. I am committed to guiding leaders to create positive, productive, legally compliant work environments while partnering to solve their challenges.  My education includes both a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and a Master of Business Administration degree, Graduate Certificates in Human Resources Management and Social Media Marketing, and a dual Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Administration and Psychology. I'm currently attending the University of Maine School of Law to complete my law degree with a primary focus on employment and information privacy laws.  I have taught graduate, undergraduate, and professional development workshops for years at Southern NH University (SNHU), and I'm still teaching with the University of New Hampshire (UNH). Over the past decade, I have led hundreds of degree courses and certificate program workshops and employer training sessions. I am a Certified Senior HR Professional (SHRM-SCP) through the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and a Certified Safety Management Specialist (SMS) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).  I'm involved in the local business community as a member of the NH Business and Industry Association (NH BIA) and a member of the Chamber Collaborative of Portsmouth. I also support the youth community as the Treasurer for Rochester Youth Soccer Association (RYSA), and I'm a supporter of Pope Memorial Humane Society and the Center for Wildlife in York, Maine.
