Welcome to the NorthEast Regional Council (NERC) website. Our board of directors is composed of dedicated accounting and finance professionals who work relentlessly every year to provide valuable educational, professional development, and networking resources in a professional and welcoming environment.

IMA NERC comprises CT, ME, MA, NH, NY, RI and VT, and our events are attended by professionals from these states as well as occasional visitors from other states. Come meet the community, and we would be delighted to see you in person.

In memory of Carl Smith who left us on May 22, 2026.

He was involved for many
years with the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), member of the Hartford Chapter, serving as Chair of the organization from
2005-2006, the Chair of the Board of Regents from 1996-1998, a National Director in 1986, and a
National VP from 1989-90.
